Living Up To Your Word.

"A man is only as good as his word".

Real men will live up to their word. I;m not sure if it's in the 'Barney Stinson : The Bro Code', but real men keep their word.

A man who spew everything, but keep nothing, is a loser. If you can't hold on to your promises, if can't deliver the things you said, you're better off not saying anything. It's given. This is not limited only in my code. In real world, if you're 'all sizzle, no steak', the rest of your life will uphill. Not towards success, but the tough never get going, it'll only going to get tougher.

Mr. Brown and Me.

I've had this former acquaintance (note 'former') once who spew shits like firemen in forest blaze, 'non stop and no sign of slowing down'. He claims to be a business minded kind of person with connection like a Pentagon's internet -- solid as fuck. He said that he can double, triple any investment made through him in a scheme that is guaranteed and backed by the top man in government. Being a good and sympathetic friend, I make a small investment, but I never publicize or promote his scheme. I know I won;t be able to guarantee anything so I'm better off keeping my word in my stomach.

Months keep coming and going. From 3 calls a week to 3 calls a month. Then it's once a month. Ultimately, like every no good weasel, he cut contact. He avoided me and never to speak to me again. Knowing what I'm getting myself into in the first place, I'm partly cool with the outcome.

Close to 2 years later, Mr. Brown came up with a fresh business and good idea and approaching me, wanting to do another business venture with me. Like that going to happen.

Lessons.

Stories without moral is like a broken pencil -- pointless. There's no 'water under the bridge' with this kind of man. His mistakes :

1. Putting himself in a cross hair with all his promise that was 50% certain he won't be able to deliver.

2. He never apologizes.

"Mistakes are (almost) always forgivable, if one have the courage to admit it". Bruce Lee.

I'm not saying that I will never forgive this scum of earth. But his action of treating me like I have the memory of a goldfish really fucked things up. If he had half the balls he have when he made all those promises to admit his mistakes and start anew with me, I might be able to forgive him. Sadly, he did not, and that'll only guarantee things to turn sour.

NEVER, go back on your word.

Dan lebih teruk lagi kalau, masa tengah penuh sopan dan adab, kamu menjarakkan diri kamu untuk tunggu giliran untuk keluarkan duit di ATM, some bimbo - having no qualms whatsoever - jumping the queue like it's the most normal thing to for her that day.

That shit, is even more infuriating.

...tapi, yang paling teruk adalah,  jika kedua-duanya berlaku kepada kamu sekaligus. It happened to me today. FML.
